“ tofu soup: flavor was good but What I liked most was the feeling of a healthy diet without guilt that filled my stomach yet had enough left over for another meal. ”
“ A hole in the restaurant in South Philly. It is more like a family restaurant run by an old couple. Service is quick and the couple are nice. The bun dau mam tom tastes amazing and is the first place that I found that offers pig tongue. Bun dau mam tom is a sampler platter that is often dipped into a shrimp paste, which might sound scary but tastes amazing. I'm not a big fan of tofu, but the deep-fried tofu was amazing. They also offer other Vietnamese dishes like pho and rice platters but this place is known to have the sampler. The fried rice cakes were also good and had a nice soft and crispy texture to it. ”
“ These PHÒ devours come all the way from the south Philly elite. @phocyclocafe the staff is always nice. The mother of the business is super helpful and very welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and it's always fresh. Here are ordered the shrimp.Phò with no noodles with Asada rice and all the spices included lol. It's my absolute favorite. They do not offer outdoor dining nor do I think that they have a bathroom, but it always feels like home. If you ever find yourself wanting some comfort food, please check out @phocyclocafe and of course please tell them that shimmy sent you. #phò #soup #philadelphia #philly #foodie #food #foodporn #foodblogger #foodphotography #water #shrimp #spice #comfort ”
“ Small hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant with many menu options! I got the pho and it came with a generous portion! I wasn't able to finish the entire bowl. It was around $15 for a bowl of pho with 3 different kinds of meat. ”
“ What a hidden gem on a pretty rundown block of South Broad. You enter to a fairly unadorned room that doesn't strike you with high expectations. The service is quick. The food is delicious. Try the Vietnamese crêpe. ”
“ Vermicelli bowls are where it's at! Really solid and tasty portions for the price. Generous with sauce. Grilled pork is excellent. I considered knocking off a star for the tiny hair I found in my food but other than that really can't complain. Takeout was ready quickly, it just kind of sucks that they use styrofoam and include utensils when you don't ask for them. ”
“ First time trying this place, I heard a lot good review about this place. And tonight was the night to trying out. Weather in Philly so cold today, a warm bowl of phò would be nice. Grab the menu and ordered the no.27 (the everything meat) bowl with the spring roll for sure. The vibe was pretty warm, since the restaurant not that big but it has the homie feels to it. The food was great, the broth were amazing! Spring roll top notch! Taste way different than any other phò, I guess it was homemade. I don't see many ppl work here, maybe just a small family owned business, but the service was great. This definitely became my number ONE spot in south philly. Totally recommended!! ”
“ This is a great find. Not elegant or fancy inside but this is that hole in the wall that you've been looking for. Been a few times and I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere inside is very casual but does the job. Dine in and takeout are both consistent and I will be going back as long as I live in Philadelphia. Highly recommend! ”
